Azienda Agricola PIETROSO, Montalcino
We often describe this as our ‘entry’ level Brunello, but that is really a trifle harsh! This is a very well-made wine, and a very serious one, in its own right.
This estate is steeped in history, in the archives it was known as the “Petroso” farm and documented as having cultivation of vines and wine production since 1363. All pruning and picking is done by hand and production methods stay true to the traditional process. There’s long fermentation in stainless steel at controlled temperatures, followed by ageing in the "botte".
Extremely good price/quality ratio and, if there's no wine showing below, please call or email us for future availability.
