Domaine Marc-Antonin BLAIN, Chassagne-Montrachet

Marc-Antonin set out to learn more by working in New Zealand and Australia to gain a true understanding of the grape. Then, having worked alongside his grandfather Jacques Gagnard, he subsequently ended up inheriting a nice chunk of Chassagne.

Following a seemingly unstoppable path, Marc-Antonin started by meticulously preserving the Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot planted in the 1920's, progressed to renovating his Grandfather's cellar which had been reacquired in the 1980's and left untouched since, then he recently acquired 30 ars of land in Brouilly and 5.5ha in the Cote de Brouilly. One to watch.
